Melanie's first claim to fame was on The Voice season three, where she auditioned singing Brittany Spears' "Toxic" and was coached by Adam Levine. Despite being eliminated in spot 6, she stated she never expected to make it that far and was glad she got to express herself as an artist and touch people's hearts. Immediately afterwards she began to work on her career as a solo artist, and released her debut single "Dollhouse" in 2014. Since then she has gone on to release three albums - Crybaby in 2015, K-12 in 2019, and Portals in 2023. She has amassed a huge fanbase of people who love her unique style and aesthetic that pulls from nursery rhymes, fairy tales, and tragic stories that often pull from her own experiences.
